LS Stun Tips.

The best advice I can give with Zack is to vary
you kick strike combos as much as possible and free cancel in teh middle at
different times i.e start a Downforward+KfreeKfreeK freeKfreeK at any
moment in the combo so the CPU opponent gets confused when to counter.
His Upback+KK and Downforward
Downforward+KK move work great at slipping up the CPU.
Use his Downforward+P+K to knock the
person in the air as a counter hit and try to land the most damage juggle combo
you can or slam them into a wall with his Hold Back+P+K move.
If near walls ex. your back to wall use the
Downforward Downforward throw to slam them into it or the
Forward Back+F+P
when the opponent's back is to the wall.
A good throw strategy is also when opponent has
back to wall use the QCF+F+P to reverse your position then use the
Downforward Downforward+F+P throw to slam them in the wall again
(unfortunately you also run the risk of being smacked in the wall yourself but
if it works it does do some decent damage to the opponent).
u/b+P,P,K,K,K,K or d.K,K,K,K or ->+P,K... you get the idea
Wall combo
d.P+K,P,K,K,K,K
simple massive damage combo
When you perform a taunt in
Zack's 3rd outfit his little antenna glows. How can you not want that?
I think everyone can be dangerous in this game...
but it's the concrete lack of any GLARING weaknesses that has me investigating
on whether or not ZACK can be the best in the game. Sure, he has some silly
moves, and some his combo finishers moves have bad recovery - but you can ignore
his silly moves (they're definitely filler, and are there just to give him
"personality"), and my philosophy is that you shouldn't even complete his
auto-combos anyway (delaying/omitting hits is a much more effective striking
strategy in DOA, simply because it gets you so many hi-counter-throws). That
negates the bad-recovery moves he doesn't even need.
And again, his "special weapons" are just too good. That d/f d/f+K is just so
juicy. It launches on ANY type of hit, is a "crouch dash" move so it has some
evasive properies as well as having OBSCENE range, and it has SUPER SUPER
priority (what the heck DOESN'T it snuff?). And did I mention his "limbo stun"
ability?
I feel that if he didn't have just these 2 simple "weapons", then he would be
just like any other character. It's those two traits alone that are making me
use him more and more.

Excerpt from Ardemessa's LS faq on
this site:
Though the hits before the "limbo stun" can be
defeated by a "counter-hold", they are pretty quick, so while he doesn't have a
"single-hit" move that gets that special stun like Bass, Jann Lee, and Bayman
do, it's quickness puts it close.
In addition, he recovers better than Ayane or
Christie does in getting that "limbo stun". And I'm sure that he's the only one
that can get the stun from BOTH STANCES.
These all do 100pts of damage, not including wall damage, and are pretty
practical (don't have any "jab filler" that only works in sparring mode - these
work as well as any other combo against humans)
(OPEN STANCE)
- qcf+PK (limbo stun),
f+K, d/f d/f+K (launch), free(cancel),
u/b+KK
(my buddies always say "what the F..K?" whenever I bust this out)
(OPEN STANCE)
- qcf+PK (limbo stun), f+K, d/f d/f+K (launch), PPPK
(this one's an easier variation of the first, since you don't need to use the
"F-Cancel" technique. But even though it has more hits, I don't think it looks
as cool)
(CLOSED STANCE)
- d/b+KPPK (limbo stun), f+K, d/f d/f+K (launch),
PPPK
(this is the "closed stance" variant).
Essentially, you
1) use either the qcf+PK or the d/b+KPPK to get the "limbo stun", depending on
the stance. From this point on, the rest of the hits are INESCAPABLE.
2) add an extra hit (I use f+K, but most mid-level hits should work)
3) launch with d/f, d/f+K (which gives huge air)
4) use your favorite juggle.
For part (4), you can even do a d/f, d/f+KK if your back is against the wall:
(open stance)
- qcf+PK, f+K, d/f d/f+K, d/f d/f+KK
try the
"just before you're about to die hit start on the 2nd player controller, whoop
it's *** and start over with full life" cheat

I think you're right
Melrose , but that's a little frustrating and hard to believe, i think what they
need is someone to kick their asses masively in a doa match, like it hapened
here with Doa 2:
I was hapiily playing at
the arcade with Zack and a guy that claimed to be the best Doa player around
came with an expresion on his face like telling me "my beautiful Kasumi with
school outfit, jumping boobs and a very little skirt will smash you ugly Zack in
a second" , actually the guy was a terrible player that just abused the use of
the counter move and was more concentrated on getting Kasumi on the best
position to se her panties, it was pattetic !! , a good combination of
psycological high, low and medium attacks were enough to trick the guy and
disable the use of his counter move, after that he got deseperated and started
to smash the buttons like crazy just to make him a good target to the counter
move and to Zack's -> -> + K , that has higher priority over the tiny Kasumi's
P+P+P , he chalenged me over 15 times and was beatten easily with my Zack , i
embarrased him in front of his own friends, he leaved the arcade center very
angry and speaking all kinds of insults, after that he started to play Doa more
seriously and focusing more on the gameplay , right now he's an exellent player
with Hayabusa and Gen Fu and is one of my harder to beat oponents ...
I think people here needs
some experience like the one of that guy to start to take Doa as a "GAME" and
not as a fashion show .
